Vintage Vehicles at Wensleydale Show Online

Many of the exhibitors are true enthusiasts and come to visit us in Wensleydale each year to show off their cars, tractors, motorbikes, commercial vehicles and stationary engines to the visiting public and to catch up with fellow enthusiasts and have a day out in the glorious scenery of Wensleydale. The vehicles are always in pristine condition and this year will be judged on line by video and photograph. New for the online show is a video of a vintage tractor working.

CHAMPION OF SECTION is awarded to V1-3 – Best vintage classic car

Congratulations to Steven Handley with his 1972 Mk1 Capri 3000e

“I was very impressed with the description the owner gave of this entry, this is a really exciting vehicle and I would be very interested in seeing this car in the flesh!” (Judge John Pogson)

“This is my 1972 Mk1 Capri 3000e. I have owned it 6 years now, it was restored about 15 years ago. It is Sebring red and has a 3000 v6 engine. There isn’t anything on it that wouldn’t of been on from new including the type of tyre. It has 86.000 miles on it” (Exhibitor Steven Handley)

Place 1: The way the owner has described this car makes me believe that it has been restored exactly as it should have been, to see this in person would be an absolute delight. I am a big Capri fan, this is an absolutely beautiful car.

Best modern classic car

Some of these may be too familiar as they will be of a certain age ! once again presented in as good as new condition and ready to roll.

Judge's Feedback

RESULTS: 1st: Raymond Mackley -a JBA falcon SR2 Sport 1930's V2-1, 2nd: David Lloyd Rosie – a 1997 Ferrari 355 GTS F1 V2-2, 3rd: Graeme McCallum Ferrari 308 GTB QV -1985 V2-4
Place 1: This car has a great story, I know that back in those days being made redundant from British Leyland was a common thing, so for three blokes to build a motor car and for it to be so successful – I take off my hat to them! A really interesting entry.

Place 2: It’s lovely to see this example, and it appears to be in excellent condition too. Place 3: A very rich history surrounding this model, I wonder how many times this has been dropped out of a Hercules! An interesting entry.
